Ice River Springs Water Co. is a Feversham, Ontario-based provider of spring and purified private-label bottled water. The company operates seven manufacturing plants across Canada and the United States and supplies national and regionally-focused grocery retailers, drug stores, mass merchandisers, food service partners and dollar stores. It received a $15.0M investment from Key Principal Partners to fund a capital expenditure program and facility expansion to produce recycled PET (rPET) resin. The rPET pellets will be made entirely from post-consumer materials and used in Ice River’s own bottle production. Management says the project will eliminate reliance on petroleum-based virgin PET resin and significantly reduce the company’s carbon footprint. The new capacity will allow Ice River to produce its own rPET for bottle manufacturing, supporting its environmental and packaging plans.
