Icelandic Water Holdings ehf produces Icelandic Glacial, a carbon-neutral natural spring water. The company formally closed a $40 million equity funding round. The financing consisted of converting $28 million of existing loans and infusing $12 million of new capital. The transaction was described as a recapitalization. As a result, shareholder and U.S. distribution partner Anheuser-Busch InBev converted its debt and raised its ownership to 23.3%. The company is led by chairman and co-founder Jon Olafsson.
