Iconicfuture operates a marketplace that lets brands license their IP to online and mobile game developers for premium digital and virtual goods. Game developers register, sign a master agreement with Iconicfuture, and can then search and license rights without negotiating separate contracts with multiple rights holders. Rights holders get a one-stop shop to manage profiles, match with developers, track IP usage, receive updates, and collect payments. The company says it has enabled the sale of over 1 million premium virtual items from brands including Real Madrid, Arsenal, FC Barcelona, the German National Soccer Team, CBS, American Greetings, Elvis Presley Enterprises and Aardman Entertainment. It works with game developers such as Bigpoint, Travian Games, Outfit7 and Digital Chocolate. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Hamburg, Iconicfuture plans to use new capital to expand its portfolio of rights, grow its geographical footprint, and further develop its technology. The company has raised a total of €4.2 million to date.
