Iconovo develops inhaler devices for drugs to treat respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD, as well as for vaccines and biologics. Led by CEO Orest Lastow, the company is based in Lund, Sweden and is a member of the SmiLe incubator in Medicon Village. Iconovo raised €2.3m in funding and will use the proceeds to expand its offering to also include drug development. The company has signed a licensing and product development agreement with Amneal Pharmaceuticals that includes an up-front payment and milestone payments in the mid-single-digit million euro range. Those up-front and milestone payments represent additional near-term commercial value tied to the Amneal collaboration.
