Idea Drop provides a cloud-based idea-management platform with native iOS and Android apps and a modern UX aimed at replacing legacy ideation tools. The product uses a real-time ranking algorithm that scores ideas based on social signals and interactions so promising ideas surface to managers. Features include individual innovation scores, challenges, reports, search, analytics and idea cloaking to enable collaboration, validation and decision-making. Co-founder Owen Hunnam positions the product as a way to enable bottom-up ideation in organisations where innovation typically happens top-down. The company disclosed a £1 million funding round from 33 new investors, with all previous backers participating; its 17-person engineering partner in Kerala, India, also invested.
