IDENTEC Group is a global RFID solutions provider that develops and sells RFID-based solutions through a portfolio of companies. The firm holds 100% or significant ownership in nine RFID solutions businesses and maintains sales and marketing operations in the US, including four US-based RFID companies. IDENTEC serves more than 2,000 customers across 16 industries, with solutions for heat-related illness prevention in athletes, rescue personnel and industrial workers, hospitality shrinkage control and beverage/inventory management, and real-time tracking of fresh foods from field to fork. The company completed a $7.5 million equity capital round with private investors. Proceeds from the financing will be used to accelerate IDENTEC’s US expansion plans and to ramp up customer-facing solutions in key markets worldwide. Earlier this month the company, formerly known as RFID Invest, acquired Hothead Technologies as part of its consolidation of RFID businesses.
