iDENTICAL develops a patented 3D‑manufactured, drill‑free dental implant that lets general dentists replace teeth without drilling. The company’s workflow sends an extracted tooth to iDENTICAL, which creates a custom implant and ships it back for placement, cutting implant placement time to about a week after extraction. With minimal additional training, the process is intended to enable general dentists to perform implants, lowering cost and expanding access. Founders Iris Wedeking and oral surgeon Dr. Todd Wedeking launched the device after testing and iterating on the technology in Bay Area practices. iDENTICAL completed a first‑in‑human pilot at the University of São Paulo with promising nine‑month integration and stability data and positive dentist and patient feedback. The company added Jim Mosch, retired President and COO of Dentsply Sirona, to its board and plans a larger clinical trial to support a 510(k) FDA submission.
