Overview
Igyxos is developing a first-in-class monoclonal antibody designed to potentiate the bioactivity of endogenous and exogenous gonadotropins to improve therapeutic management of male and female infertility. The company is led by CEO Pierre-Henry Longeray and founder/CSO Marie-Christine Maurel. It is based in Nouzilly, France. Igyxos raised €7.5m in a Series A round and intends to use the funds to finance development of its drug candidate until proof of concept in human clinic. Backers named in the financing include Bpifrance (via the Accelerate Biotechnologies Santé Fund under the Investments for the Future Program), Go Capital’s Amorçage II and Loire Valley Invest funds, and the Fonds Emergence Innovation II managed by Sofimac Innovation. The company’s immediate plan is to advance its monoclonal antibody program toward human proof of concept.
