iKentoo develops and provides iPad-based point-of-sale and business management systems for the hospitality industry. Founded in Geneva in 2011 by Serge Sozonoff, the company serves over 2,500 customers in 14 countries. Its customer base includes Mövenpick, Hard Rock Cafe, Luigia, Pouly groups, the Holy Cow Group and Swiss Medical Networks, as well as thousands of restaurants, multi-site chains, food trucks, festivals, bars, hotels, coffee shops and delis. The company raised €4.6m in equity funding with backers undisclosed. iKentoo intends to use the funds to open a fully staffed technical, sales and support office in Zurich, formally opening in September 2017, and to further develop its presence in France, Germany and Spain. The Zurich office will service all key hospitality categories from independent establishments to multi-site operations.
