Illume Software is a mobile software company that develops iZUP, an application using GPS and device sensors to temporarily disable communications while driving. Originally consumer-focused, iZUP now serves corporations, insurance companies, trucking fleets, and mobile carriers and is available on BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and Android handsets. The company offers pricing of $2.95 monthly or $19.95 annually for single users, with a family plan at $5.95 monthly or $59.95 annually. Illume has received industry recognition including a Good Housekeeping Research Institute endorsement, a "Fierce15" award, and favorable coverage from The New York Times. Headquartered in the Boston area and founded in 2009, Illume has raised $6.5 million since inception. The new funding will be used to ramp up sales and product development for corporate and consumer markets and to support general corporate activities.
