Overview
Im3D Clinic Sud is the southern research and service arm of Im3D, created to develop oncologic screening research and deliver advanced services in the South of Italy. The group was founded in Turin in 2006 and Im3D Clinic srl is controlled by Im3D spa. Its products include CAD Colon, an oncologic workstation with proprietary computer-aided detection software for early detection of colon cancer in virtual colonoscopy, and e CAD BREAST DTS for breast cancer diagnosis. The company received a €2m investment from Principia SGR, with Principia II acquiring a 49% stake in Im3D Clinic srl. Im3D intends to use the funds to expand operations and research activities. Following the transaction, Francesco Antonio Archetti, professor at Università di Milano Bicocca, joined as president; he will be supported by CEO Gualtiero Rudella and director Andrea Caletti.
