iM3NY is building a lithium‑ion gigafactory in Endicott, NY with capacity to generate over 1 GWh of high‑grade cells per year. The company has begun build‑out of its first gigafactory with production expected in early 2022. Its first‑generation cells will use Charge CCCV LLC (C4V)–licensed Bio Mineralization technology (BMLMP) aimed at higher capacity, improved safety, longer cycle life and lower cost. iM3NY is positioned in US supply chains, including work supporting the Department of Defense and electrification programs for large US corporations. The company reports $230 million of manufacturing assets in place. Empire State Development has offered $7.5 million in performance‑based incentives tied to job creation.
