Imago Technologies (dba Antares Vision Srl), founded in 2007 and based in Castel Mella, Brescia, Italy, designs, produces and installs inspection systems for the pharmaceutical sector. Its systems provide traceability and monitor quality across the entire production process, from single product units such as pills and capsules to finished packed products like vials, bottles, ampoules, blister packs and tubes. The technology is focused on guaranteeing rejection of all non-conforming parts. The company employs around 90 people and reported a turnover of €15.3m in 2011. It has received a €5m minority equity investment from Fondo Italiano di Investimento. Proceeds are intended to increase production capacity via a new facility near Brescia, establish a facility abroad, consolidate the international commercial network, and expand R&D activities.
