Immerok has built Immerok Cloud, a serverless Apache Flink offering that abstracts server management to enable real-time stream processing. The service is hosted on AWS and aims to make Flink APIs accessible with minimal operations overhead. The company has run engagements with a few dozen customers and launched an early access program ahead of the product rollout. Immerok’s platform targets stream-processing use cases across AI/ML, e-commerce, security, financial services and entertainment. The company has 20 employees across the U.S. and EU, about 90% of whom are engineers, and plans to hire 30 more employees by the end of 2022 across engineering, community relations and customer success. Proceeds from its recent financing will be used to expand the team and further develop the cloud product. The team emphasizes continued work with the open source Apache Flink community and competing offerings include AWS Kinesis Data Analytics and Aiven’s managed Flink service.
