Impart Security

Overview
Impart Security offers an Application Detection and Response Engineering Platform that uses AI agents and programmable WebAssembly (WASM) isolation to design, test, and deploy security rules safely in production. The platform runs coordinated AI agents (Traffic Inspector, Detection Engineer, Security Architect, Rule Engineer) to inspect traffic, spot anomalies, develop and test rules, and adapt defenses in real time. Early deployments have generated over 2,400 security rules, cut average deployment time from 18 days to 45 minutes, and maintained 99.97% uptime while preventing dozens of attack patterns in customer environments. Impart says its WASM-based sandboxes provide secure isolation and high performance, enabling autonomous production changes that customers trust. The company serves major enterprises, including a large financial services firm and a global entertainment conglomerate, and is led by security veterans from major technology companies. Following its Series A, Impart plans to expand into financial services, healthcare, and infrastructure providers and to launch partnerships with major cloud platforms and channel partners. Impart Security builds API security tools that detect threats and vulnerabilities across any API tech stack and resolve them automatically without human intervention. The platform emphasizes monitoring and observability and offers out-of-the-box remediation to avoid noisy alerts that overwhelm security teams. The company was founded by several former Signal Sciences colleagues and is led by CEO and cofounder Jonathan DiVincenzo. Signal Sciences was sold to Fastly for $775 million in 2020, and Impart's team leverages that prior experience in web application and API security. Impart is currently in closed beta with select commerce and enterprise customers and, based on beta feedback, plans a commercial launch in the fourth quarter of 2022. The company announced a $6 million seed round led by CRV with participation from Haystack, 8-bit Capital and O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures.
