SpinCar plans to use recent financing for growth and continued investment in product innovation. The company secured a $22M financing to support these initiatives. SwipeToSpin develops and markets proprietary, patent-pending software for creating, enriching, and publishing photorealistic 360 content. Founded in 2011 and based in New York, the company serves publishing, retail, and automotive markets and cites customers including Popular Science, Nerf, Olympus, Schick, and auto dealers. Earlier this year it launched SpinCar, an automotive-focused version of its 360 software, and has reported "immense success" with dealers using the product to present interactive vehicle views. CEO Devin Daly said the new funding will support continued expansion in the automotive marketplace. Dealers report that SpinCar increases website stickiness and engagement, translating into more leads and sales. The company is positioning SpinCar to drive further customer engagement and revenue growth across dealership customers and other verticals. SwipeToSpin provides an automated 3D content creation platform serving the tablet magazine and ecommerce markets. The platform lets users create, enhance and publish 3D content across ecommerce sites, apps, display ads and print ads (via AR or QR code), as well as tablet magazine ads. The company is led by CEO Devin Daly and CTO Steven Saporta. SwipeToSpin has signed a partnership with Mag+. It closed a funding round in 2014; the amount was not disclosed.
