Overview
Immunovaccine develops DepoVax, an adjuvant platform designed to create a depot at the vaccination site for controlled, prolonged antigen and adjuvant exposure to the immune system. The company has advanced two cancer vaccine candidates through Phase I: DPX-Survivac (targets survivin) and DPX-0907. DPX-Survivac is planned for two Phase 2 studies in ovarian cancer and glioblastoma, and DPX-0907 is slated to enter a Phase 1/2 trial in Italy with breast and ovarian cancer patients. Immunovaccine also maintains a pipeline of infectious-disease vaccines, including programs for malaria, RSV and anthrax. The company says recent funding now keeps it financed into 2015 and supports the launch of three Phase 2 clinical trials. Leadership highlights the DepoVax approach’s potential to generate a stronger, longer-lasting immune response by forcing immune processing over days to weeks.
