Overview

Incysus is a biopharmaceutical company developing off-the-shelf, genetically modified gamma-delta (γδ) T cell therapies aimed at treating blood and solid tumor cancers. Its platform focuses on activated and gene-modified adoptive cellular therapies that can be protected from chemotherapy and combined with other approaches to disrupt the tumor microenvironment. The company targets cold, low-mutation cancers and has programs intended for leukemia/lymphoma and newly-diagnosed glioblastoma (GBM). Since its inception in early 2016, Incysus has filed two Investigational New Drug (IND) applications, with the IND for its first program accepted by the FDA in late 2017. Incysus is collaborating with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and expected to begin its first two Phase 1 trials in the first half of 2019. The company announced a completed Series A financing to support advancement of its preclinical and clinical programs and to expand its team and R&D capabilities.
