Overview
Inbilin is a voice-call social app launched in May 2013 that connects users via synchronous phone conversations. The app offers both targeted calls and random pairings, with synchronous voice connection intended to create more direct interactions. The company claims more than 20 million registered users and around 200,000 daily active users, concentrated in Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Wuhan. According to CEO Liu Jinlong, 70% of users were born after 1990 and users aged 18–22 make up 65% of the base. Inbilin plans to release a 3.0 version with UI adjustments and a topic-setting feature to help users find peers with common interests. The company says the new funding will be used for team building and server upgrades.
