Incentive reports thousands of installations and users worldwide and is being rolled out by NATO to 10,000 employees across 28 countries. The company highlights airtight data privacy and centralized workflows to simplify knowledge capture and collaboration. Founded in 2008, Incentive has headquarters in Los Angeles and Malmo, Sweden, and has been selected for Microsoft Ventures’ Customer Access Program. The new funding is intended to support U.S. expansion, marketing and sales, and further product development and upgrades. Incentive Corp. provides a private social intranet service for SMBs, offering a suite of social collaboration tools. Led by founder and CEO Rickard Hansson, the platform includes activity streams, wikis, blogs and apps hosted securely behind a firewall or in a company’s private cloud. The solution links content to its creators so teams can identify subject-matter experts, and includes a search box to find knowledge centers and organize groups, projects, subjects and departments. The company was founded in 2008. It raised $2.3M and intends to use the funds to strengthen relationships with U.S. customers and acquire new customers. Incentive plans to double its U.S. sales force and expand the development team in Sweden, and is in talks with U.S. companies as well as government and defense organizations.
