Index provides a no-code BI dashboard product that enables non-technical users to connect data sources and build business metrics without help from engineers or data analysts. The product supports connectors including Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe and databases such as Postgres and MongoDB, with Index handling query building and data display. The company was begun in January by co-founders Xavier Pladevall and Eduardo Portet and already has early customers while remaining a very small team. They plan to stay lean (the two founders and hiring roughly two full-time engineers) and use the seed funding to further build the product and distribution. With the new capital they have a stated goal of reaching $1 million in ARR within the next year as a step toward a Series A. The founders draw on prior experience interning at Facebook (Pladevall) and Medidata (Portet) and emphasize building a diverse, inclusive company as Latino immigrant founders.
