Industrial Next packages modular equipment, customized software and follow-on services to give EV suppliers smart-factory capabilities. The company says clients can buy a single production unit or outfit an entire factory. Founders include Allen Pan, Tesla’s former autonomous factory lead at Fremont, and Lukas Pankau, a former lead electrical architect on Tesla Model X, Y and 3. Industrial Next aims to improve on manufacturing technologies tested by Tesla and to help suppliers shorten production cycles, adapt to changing demand and scale capacity. The startup has engaged potential customers including Rivian, Nio, Huaqin and WiseTech as part of its commercial outreach.
