ID Connect provides infectious-disease telehealth services and ID-specific decision-support SaaS products (ILÚM Insight® and ILÚM Inform®) spun out of UPMC. The company has doubled its revenues year over year since its creation in 2019 and reports 94% growth in patient consultations alongside very high patient satisfaction. Its services have been used across academic medical centers and community hospitals, and ID Connect says its work decreased ICU lengths of stay by more than 50%, reduced antibiotic use by 20%, and increased staff efficiency three-fold. In May 2022 the company raised an additional $5.45 million to expand its platform. ID Connect plans to use the capital to improve care team collaboration, refine ID-specific risk‑stratification analytics, support more outpatient antimicrobial therapy needs, and increase reliance on advanced analytics to improve antimicrobial stewardship.
