infirst Healthcare is a consumer healthcare company spun out from SEEK Group and led by CEO Manfred Scheske. The company is developing and preparing to launch medicines into the cough & cold and pain consumer healthcare markets. It plans to introduce its first product, a cocoa-flavoured cough liquid, in Europe. infirst is also developing a non-narcotic/non-opioid cough treatment that is in a Phase III clinical study and targeted for a 2015 market launch. Additionally, the company is developing an ibuprofen-based product for the treatment of inflammatory pain, for which it holds the global rights. The company raised £25m in financing from Invesco Asset Management-managed funds to support these launches.
