Founded in 2018 by robotics engineer Cameron Van Der Berg and military veteran Chris Cox, Infravision has created the TX System, an integrated fleet of drones, intelligent ground equipment, and stringing hardware that replaces conventional ground and helicopter power-line stringing. The system delivers helicopter-level capabilities from a truck-based platform, reducing outages, improving emergency response, and minimizing community disruption. It has already been used on more than 40 major transmission projects across four countries, including Powerlink Genex in Australia and emergency deployments with PG&E in California. Utilities, contractors, and developers have saved millions of dollars and thousands of work hours by adopting the technology. With electricity demand rising from AI, onshoring, and broader electrification, the company plans to scale U.S. manufacturing, deepen utility partnerships, and accelerate global rollout of its aerial-robotics platform. The recent capital raise provides resources to hire additional engineers and expand North American operations. No revenue figures were disclosed, but the company positions its solution as a faster, safer, and lower-cost alternative to traditional methods.
