Ink raised $1.5M in a pre-seed funding round backed by Sound Ventures (Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary), Mark Cuban, Betaworks Ventures, Lupa Systems and several angel investors. The company is based in Venice, California and is newly founded. Ink’s core product enables creators to sign or draw on any form of digital content with their finger and instantly turn that content into an affordable NFT on its exclusive marketplace, Ink.ID. The company is launching with partnerships in music and plans over time to expand into film, photography, modeling, books, fine art and digital art. For its initial launch Ink is partnering with a select group of emerging music artists and integrating with tours and festivals so its NFTs can be the first fans buy at physical merch tables. Founder Max Brody, an early web3 innovator and former co-founder and CEO of the Ethereum-based social network Cent, leads the company.
