Overview
Founded in 2005, Intelligent Orthopaedics designs, develops, manufactures and distributes orthopaedic trauma devices, notably the STORM (Staffordshire Orthopaedic Reduction Machine). STORM is used to realign tibia fractures prior to surgical fixation and has proved successful in clinical practice worldwide. The company holds ISO13485 certification, its products are CE marked and it has FDA clearance to market. A recent £600k equity financing will enable the company to accelerate rollout of STORM and support commercial expansion. Management intends to establish a sales team focused on the US and German markets. The funds will also advance development of two new products planned for launch within the next twelve months; the company is led by CEO Susan Hartman and Chairman Alistair Taylor.
