Intensity Therapeutics

1 Enterprise Drive, Suite 430, Shelton, CT, 06484-4779, United States

Overview

Intensity Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotech leveraging its DfuseRxSM platform to create intratumoral formulations that disperse therapeutic agents throughout tumors and induce adaptive immune responses. Its lead product candidate, INT230-6, is a direct intratumoral injection comprised of two anti-cancer agents plus a penetration enhancer designed to diffuse into cancer cells. INT230-6 is being evaluated in an ongoing Phase 1/2 clinical study (NCT03058289) in patients with advanced solid tumors, with preliminary data showing the drug was well tolerated, with no drug-related serious adverse events or dose-limiting toxicities. Early signals included increases in circulating CD8 and CD4 T-cells and evidence of abscopal responses in non-injected tumors. The company plans to expand the study to sites outside the U.S. and Canada, add combination arms with an anti-PD-1 antibody, and initiate Phase 2a studies in specific tumor types. Proceeds from the recent financing are intended to support advancement of INT230-6 into Phase 2 clinical development. Intensity Therapeutics is developing proprietary cancer immunotherapy products built on its DfuseRx platform, focused on an in situ vaccination approach. Its lead candidate, INT230-6, is a novel product designed to disperse through tumors, kill cancer cells, and recruit immune cells to the tumor microenvironment. In preclinical in vivo models INT230-6 has cleared large tumors, improved overall survival versus standard therapies, and produced durable, vaccine-like protection against re‑exposure. The company plans to use new capital to manufacture clinical supplies, complete regulatory filings and run a series of clinical trial cohorts in cancer patients with various tumor types, including planned Phase I/II efforts. Management has emphasized rapid advancement from product concept to an IND-ready candidate and has strengthened its board with experienced drug developers to support upcoming human trials. The company is privately held and headquartered in Westport, Conn.
