Ipso Facto Films develops, produces, co-produces and finances independent films positioned as quality productions with international potential. Founded in 1993 by Christine Alderson, the company has produced, co-produced and executive-produced over 15 feature films and over 50 short films and documentaries. It is based in Newcastle and has offices in London and Newcastle. The company received a £150k investment from The Finance for Business – North East Creative Content Fund. The fund is held by public agency Northern Film & Media, managed by venture capitalists Northstar Ventures and financed by ERDF funding through the regional development agency One North East. The fund will recoup its investment from Ipso Facto's slate of future films.
