Iptune develops Service Chain Assurance(TM), a software solution that gives operators information and capabilities to improve service usage and address service issues in mobile data networks. The product is designed to monitor and troubleshoot IP-based services and to enable significant operational cost savings for operators. The company plans to use the new capital to expand internationally. Iptune was founded in 2005 by a group of mobile network specialists and operates an office in Kuala Lumpur. Vesa Haimi, one of the founders, is the current CEO. In May the company secured investment for young innovative enterprises from the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation.
