Overview
iRegene develops induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived therapies, with flagship NouvNeu001 (dopaminergic progenitor cells) for Parkinson’s disease and NouvSight001 for retinal degeneration. NouvNeu001 is clinical-stage, received regulatory clearance to begin trials in China and the U.S., and was granted FDA Fast Track Designation in August 2025. The company reported Phase I results showing strong safety and tolerability up to 15 months, PET-confirmed long-term survival of transplanted cells, motor-function improvements, and that patients did not require immunosuppressants after month six. iRegene launched a multicenter Phase II trial in China in April 2025. The business uses a chemically induced platform intended to produce scalable, cost-effective off-the-shelf cell products. Financially, it completed a Series B+ financing raising over RMB 300 million (about $40 million) to fund global clinical programs, early research, team expansion, manufacturing scale-up, and international expansion.
