Isabella Products, based in Concord, MA, is developing what it describes as the first tablet created specially for children. The company said it raised $9.2 million in a Series A round to finalize development and support the tablet's launch this year. The funding was led by Rudyard Partners of Concord, a family investment office launched by Isabella Products founder and CEO Matthew Growney. Additional investments came from Blue Pacific Group of Colombia, Pinewood Trading of Texas and Spouting Rock Investments of Pennsylvania. The company intends to use the proceeds to complete product development and fund the planned launch later in the year. The announcement was reported by Massinvestor, Inc.
