Itero
79-81 Borough Road, London, SE1 1DN, United Kingdom
Overview
Itero develops a proprietary pyrolysis process that converts end-of-life plastic waste into high-value chemical products used as feedstock for virgin-quality plastics. The company plans to design and construct its first at-scale demonstration plant at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Geleen. The planned plant will be able to process 27,000 tonnes of residual plastic waste annually, equivalent to the annual plastic packaging waste of Amsterdam municipality. Itero says its process diverts plastics from landfill and incineration and reduces crude oil consumption. The company was founded in 2010 and is London-based. The recent funding will support the demonstration-scale build and deployment of its technology.
