Overview
itopia offers cloud management solutions designed to set up and manage distributed workforces and secure remote access to mission-critical applications. The company recently launched itopia Spaces, a fully managed developer environment service based on the open-source Selkies project. Customers span remote enterprise workers, software development teams, K–12 schools and larger enterprises such as DreamView, Cleveland Clinic, Telus International, Virgin Voyages and CoreLogic. itopia grew 300% in 2020 and exceeded that pace in 2021, has expanded headcount from 50 to 72, and has been hiring former Google Cloud engineers to support product and growth efforts. Financially, the company has raised multiple rounds, bringing total funding to $18.4 million, and is using new capital to accelerate product rollout and sales. itopia is forecasting significant growth in 2022 as hybrid and remote work demand continues. itopia delivers cloud orchestration and automation solutions that enable employees, developers, and students to work and learn from anywhere. The company’s platform supports virtual work environments and virtual education labs, positioning it to benefit from expanding remote and hybrid work trends. itopia attributes continued, long-term growth to increasing global acceptance of work-from-anywhere policies. To support that growth, the company has expanded its corporate board and formed a Strategic Advisory Board composed of seasoned industry and technology executives. Leadership says the new advisors will guide product, go-to-market, and strategic decisions and help broaden client and partner relationships. The company did not disclose financial terms or operating metrics in the announcement. itopia is a cloud orchestration and automation platform purpose-built for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that enables rapid deployment of desktops, apps, compute, storage, networking, and security. Its Cloud Automation Stack (CAS) simplifies and automates the lifecycle of migrating, deploying, and managing Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) workloads on GCP via an easy-to-use unified console. The platform lets entry-level technicians move workforces to the cloud, provides secure access to corporate data and networks, and enables dynamic scaling of resources to meet capacity demands. itopia’s automation reduces day-to-day IT workload, optimizes cloud resources for cost savings, and supports global business continuity. The company reported its strongest year in 2020, posted 300% growth, and expanded globally into Latin America, Europe, and Asia while launching a go-to-market with Google Cloud targeting K-12. itopia plans to use the new funding to expand its team and to launch new product offerings, including a product for software development teams later this year. itopia provides a cloud workspace management platform designed exclusively to allow IT service providers to migrate to and manage cloud services from a single dashboard. Its proprietary Cielo® Suite completely automates the labor-intensive process of onboarding and migrating legacy IT systems and infrastructures to the cloud. The platform is sold exclusively through channel partners and currently has nearly 1,500 leading enterprise software applications certified. The company secured $3.5M in funding to support growth and operational initiatives. Planned uses for the funds include expanding channel development teams (inside and field sales), digital marketing and partner support, enhancing the IT service provider partner program with additional training and educational resources, and accelerating engineering efforts. Leadership includes co-founder and CEO Jonathan Lieberman and co-founder and CTO Ubaldo Don.
