Japan Future Agriculture

34 Aza Takayama, Onahama, Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, 〒971-8101, Japan

Overview

Japan Future Agriculture operates integrated production-to-sales operations for high‑value agricultural products, notably organic sweet potatoes and dried sweet potato (hoshi‑imo). The group runs about 50 ha of company-owned farms in Ibaraki where it grows primarily the Beniharuka variety under organic cultivation and manufactures dried sweet potato at its own factory. Its organic sweet potato and dried sweet potato volumes are among the largest in Japan, and its Beniharuka was awarded “Sweet Potato of the Year” at a major national summit in 2022; the company sells under the Terunuma brand. The group also operates the Chura Ichigo strawberry tourism farm in Okinawa and has long‑standing overseas sales channels based in Thailand. Planned uses of recent funding include scaling production and improving productivity, and strengthening domestic and international sales—targeting expanded exports across Asia and planned activity in North America.
