11501 Rock Rose Avenue Suite 200, Austin, Texas, 78758, United States

Overview

JASK offers an autonomous security operations platform designed to automate and augment security operations centers with a hybrid human–AI approach. The product focuses on learning and adapting to new threats while providing engaging feedback to security analysts so they can focus on complex cases. The company faces engineering challenges around divergent data formats, customized company response policies, and continuously updating machine-learning models to counter evolving attackers. Recently JASK announced additional visualization tools to help analysts understand threat environments and hired Greg Fitzgerald as chief marketing officer. It is also expanding its second headquarters in Austin and expects to grow that office to about 100 people this year. Financially, JASK has raised a total of $39 million to date, including a prior $12 million Series A led by Dell Technologies Capital and the current $25 million Series B. Jask provides Trident, an AI platform that uses machine learning to drive alert triage, detect malicious behaviors, and support investigations. The company is led by founder and CEO Greg Martin and is focused on evolving its machine-learning technology and product growth. Stuart McClure invested in Jask and joined its board of directors to help guide product strategy and the evolution of its ML technology. McClure brings more than two decades of experience working as a security analyst and founding and building security companies. Jask is backed by Dell Technologies Capital, TenEleven Ventures, and Battery Ventures. The amount of the investment from McClure was not disclosed. JASK offers a machine‑learning technology that automates network monitoring and management, surfacing and prioritizing threats for chief information security officers and their teams. The service addresses a shortage of trained cybersecurity professionals by automating detection and prioritization. JASK emerged from stealth with $12 million in funding. The company was founded by network security veteran Greg Martin, a co‑founder of ThreatStream (now Anomali). The funding will be used to hire more data scientists, accelerate product development, and focus on specific avenues within machine‑learning research. The company has positioned its product as an automation layer to help security teams respond to breaches more effectively. Jask is a San Francisco–based provider of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics for cybersecurity. The company is developing a predictive security operations center that leverages AI to make security measures more proactive against sophisticated cyber-attacks. Jask was founded by Greg Martin. It secured more than $2 million in seed funding to develop its product and secure early customers. The round was led by Battery Ventures with participation from Vertical Venture Partners and other investors. Jask is targeting a product release in the second half of 2016.
