Founded in 2010 by Sudhir Reddy, Jay Robotix has developed the Robox line of educational robotic kits and offers practical STEM lessons for schoolchildren. The company says it has trained 15,000 students in India using its kits and activities. Jay Robotix moved its headquarters to Singapore to tap Southeast Asian markets while retaining roots in Hyderabad. The founder, who holds a master’s in Robotics from Florida University and left a PhD program to start the company, confirmed a recent fundraise but declined to disclose details. The firm raised Rs 1.56 crore (about $250,000) from Cross Border Angels and the Thakral Group family office and is now planning a Series A to expand into North America and Japan. The company is positioning for international growth while continuing to scale its educational offerings.
