Jaypore operates an online marketplace that curates Indian craft-based apparel, jewellery and home décor by partnering with artisan communities, textile designers and independent artists. The company focuses on the handmade ethnic products market in India, which it estimates to be worth more than $7 billion. Jaypore plans to continue expanding its product offerings, including items under its private label. The company says the capital raised will be used primarily to scale its technology platform, strengthen its workforce and invest in brand building. Jaypore was founded in 2012 by Puneet Chawla, Shilpa Sharma and Aarti Jesrani.
