JBM ECOLIFE Mobility designs, manufactures and operates electric buses for public transport and holds long-term concession-style contracts with state transport authorities. The company currently has about 3,400 e-buses deployed and plans to grow its fleet to roughly 5,000 buses within 12 months. JBM reports a combined order book with JBM Auto exceeding 10,000 electric buses and operates an electric bus manufacturing facility in the Delhi-NCR region with annual capacity of 20,000 buses. Operational metrics the company cites include more than 400 million electric kilometres driven and over 1.5 billion passenger journeys since 2018. JBM says its deployments contribute to significant fuel savings and emissions reductions and generate employment through its public transport operations. The recent ₹750 crore investment from Motilal Oswal Alternates is intended to finance further rollout and expansion of its e-bus operations.
