JeNu Biosciences develops a proprietary at-home ultrasound skincare device called the JeNu Home System, designed to deliver anti-aging ingredients using low-powered ultrasound. The system was developed by leading ultrasound and cosmetic scientists and the company says clinical trials show results superior to other devices or creams. JeNu was founded in 2008 by ultrasound scientists, medical doctors and beauty executives and is led by CEO Wayne Wager. The company plans a market debut of the JeNu Home System next fall and will use newly raised capital to support commercialization and continued growth. The announcement positions JeNu to compete in the rapidly growing at-home device segment of the beauty industry, a consumer category the release says already has sales of $1 billion annually.
