Jenzy
1601 Market St, Philadelphia, PA, 19103, United States
Overview
Jenzy offers a virtual smartphone foot-sizing app paired with a curated marketplace that standardizes shoe sizing across brands so parents receive correctly sized kids' shoes. The company works with brands such as Converse, Saucony and Keds and coordinates with suppliers to ensure correct sizes at checkout. Jenzy says it cuts the industry-average return rate (about 30%) to roughly 15% for retailers. The first version of the app launched in July 2017 and the company released an update earlier this year; to date it has sized 25,000 feet and recorded about 15,000 downloads since May. Founders Eve Ackerley and Carolyn Horner conceived the idea while teaching in China and later moved operations to Philadelphia to be near beta testers; Jenzy estimates the kids' shoe market at $11 billion.
