JethroData is a New York City–based provider of SQL-on-Hadoop software that leverages full-indexing technology to accelerate query access for BI tools. Its software integrates with business intelligence solutions such as Qlik, Tableau and MicroStrategy. The product is compatible with Hadoop distributions including Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR and Amazon. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Eli Singer. JethroData closed an $8.1M Series B financing and intends to use the funds to increase investment in sales, marketing and product development. The raise signals an effort to expand commercial traction and further develop its indexing technology.
