Jilion builds SublimeVideo, a cloud-hosted HTML5 video player that serves embedded videos without plugins and provides a Flash fallback for unsupported browsers. The company has introduced a freemium model alongside paid Plus and Premium plans, and offers a real-time statistics dashboard covering desktop, mobile, HTML5 and Flash playback. Free users get 24-hour stats, Plus (up to 200K plays/month) retains data for a year, and Premium (1M plays/month) customers have unlimited data retention; enterprise customers can obtain custom integrations. During a six-month beta Jilion recorded over 10,000 sign-ups, with about half of users coming from the U.S. and a "good fraction" converting to paid plans, though the company declined to disclose current paying-customer counts. Jilion previously supplemented income with consulting revenues in 2010 but stopped those as it focused on SublimeVideo.
