Jit provides a security-as-code platform that codifies security plans and workflows as code, enabling developers to manage them in repositories such as GitHub. The service offers 'minimal viable security' (MVS) with out-of-the-box, pre-codified plans that select and integrate open-source security tools into stacks and CI/CD pipelines. Jit's tooling creates automatic security reviews inside pull requests, detects AWS misconfigurations and flags third-party service issues like npm-audit, allowing remediation within existing developer workflows. The platform aims to reduce alert noise by surfacing only important vulnerabilities and to simplify continuous security for high-velocity engineering teams. Jit also provides dashboards to help businesses begin gap analyses for compliance programs like SOC2 and ISO 27001. The company was incubated by FXP, a Boston-Israel venture studio, and recently added former Puppet CTO and Cloud Foundry Foundation executive director Abby Kearns to its advisory board.
