Jitsu
2150 Shattuck Avenue 3rd Floor, Berkeley, California, 94704, United States
Overview
Jitsu develops an open-source data integration platform (originally EventNative) plus a hosted product that helps developers send events and other data streams to data warehouses. The company supports Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Postgres and Snowflake. After publishing the open-source project on GitHub, it quickly reached roughly 1,000 stars, and the hosted Jitsu product went live a few weeks ago. The two co-founders are CEO Peter Wysinski and CTO Vladimir Klimontovich, supported by a couple of contract engineers. Jitsu positions itself as an "open-source Segment" alternative but emphasizes broader data types and finer-grained event capture. The founders plan preliminary hiring over the next year, likely adding engineers, and intend to operate as a fully remote company with quarterly offsites.
