JITX

1207 10th Street, Berkeley, CA, 94710, United States

Overview

Jitx offers a code-first platform and a domain-specific programming language plus compiler that lets engineers describe circuit-board designs at a high level while the compiler fills in implementation details. The product recently reached general availability and is intended to increase reusability, productivity, automated review, and collaboration across designs. Jitx also provides automated testing to simplify design reviews and speed time to production. The company started as a design consultancy and built the tool for internal use before productizing it. Jitx traces its technical roots to work by CEO Duncan Haldane in 2013, was founded in 2017 by three Berkeley alumni, and currently has 18 employees. The team says it is actively working on sourcing candidates to grow a more diverse workforce.
