Jobr is a mobile app that applies a Tinder-style swipe interface and a two-sided opt-in model to connect job seekers and recruiters. Launched in May, the app has attracted more than 1,000 recruiters and users have made over 3 million swipes since launch. The accumulated swipe data is used to filter out mismatches and to make the app smarter about which jobs and applicants are shown to each side. The company has five full-time employees and has recently hired TJ Nahigian, formerly on the investment team at Coatue, as CEO. With new seed capital, Jobr aims to grow its recruiter and job-seeker base and further develop its matching capabilities.
