Joinem operates a social commerce platform built around its WePower group-buying proposition, which guarantees up to 25% off the lowest online prices when target numbers of shoppers join a Buy. The company scans mega-retailers such as Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com and BestBuy.com to identify the lowest online price in real time and deliver savings below that price. Joinem uses proprietary smart data to find like-minded shoppers, offers personalized social profiles and referral URLs, and rewards referrals with $5 in Joinem Bucks. The business launched its public site concurrent with a $5 million investment funding announcement and completed a closed beta in November 2014 that produced strong engagement metrics.
