Joulent
Houston, Texas, United States, North America
Overview
Joulent develops modular, Across-the-Meter™ baseload power solutions that integrate generation, storage, and advanced controls to serve large, compute-intensive loads. The company has an initial multi-gigawatt development portfolio and strategic partnerships with GE Vernova and Energy Forge (Chevron Power Solutions). Its first project, Kilby, will provide about 2.67 gigawatts under a 20-year power purchase agreement with Microsoft, and Joulent now holds a 50% ownership interest in that project. Joulent recently secured a $1.75 billion strategic minority investment from National Grid Ventures to accelerate growth, advance its project pipeline, and scale capabilities. The company positions its model to scale to multi-gigawatt campuses, provide exportable capacity to local power markets over time, and enable future integration of renewable energy sources such as solar. With headquarters in Houston, Joulent aims to deliver rapid, large-scale power solutions for AI infrastructure and advanced industry while expanding its team and project execution capacity.
