Journee operates an end-to-end travel platform that matches people to experiential trips to mystery destinations and handles flights, accommodation and on-trip experiences. Its matchmaking uses a single questionnaire to recommend trips, and the company says it reduces planning time from 10–30 hours to about 15 minutes. Founded in 2019 by three former Depop colleagues (Ed Tribe, Megha Chaturvedi and James Gillard), Journee sells mystery-destination packaged experiences that are revealed only at the airport. The startup has recorded more than 1.5k bookings to over 52 mystery destinations and holds a 4.9 Trustpilot rating. With recent seed funding, Journee plans to grow its customer base and expand its list of destinations. The product emphasis is on convenience and cultural discovery for time-pressed travellers.
